McCaskill Gardens Catalogue, 1965. Small, formal double red. American Camellia Yearbook, 1967, p.229, Reg. No.908: A chance seedling that first bloomed 1960, originated by McCaskill Gardens, Pasadena, California, USA. Plant growth is vigorous, upright and compact. Flower is a formal double, similar to Alba Plena, and is crimson. Bloom measures 5.8 cm across x 3.2 cm deep. Flowers mid-season. Received the William E. Wylam Miniature Award, 1969. See pl.
