ACS, The Camellia Journal, 2004, Dec. 2004, p.24, Reg. No.2631. A very large chance seedling, originated by E. Hulyn Smith, Valdosta, Ga., USA. The red, semi- double to peony form bloom is 16.5 cm across, with heavy petal texture, gold anthers and filaments. Flowers mid-season to late. American Camellia Yearbook, 2004, p.94, colour photo p.c3. Flower has prominent rabbit ears. Plant is upright and vigorous. Dark green leaves are 12.7 cm long x 9 cm wide.
