ACS, The Camellia Journal, Dec. 2004, p.24 with colour photo; Reg. No.2629. A cross of Mrs Bertha A. Harms x 'Variety Z' (Z), first flowered 1992, introduced in 2006. Originated by Dr William L. Ackerman, Ashton, Md., USA. The rose form double flower is 9 cm across, bright crimson red, with 24 petals and 6 petaloids. Cold hardy to -5ยบ F. Flowers mid-season to late. American Camellia Yearbook, 2004, p.95, colour photo p.c3. Flower has yellow anthers and creamy filaments. Plant is dense with slow growth rate. Dark green leaves are 7.5 cm long x 3.8 cm wide.
