ACS, The Camellia Journal, March 2004, p.24 with colour photo; Reg. No. 2610. A 12 year old seedling of Shishigashira, pollen parent unknown, first flowered 1998. Originated by Bobby Green, Green Nurseries, Fairhope, Ala., USA. The 6.5 cm across flower is rose form double, violet to purple colour, ageing to blue. Long lasting flowers, unusual colour, cold hardy. American Camellia Yearbook, 2004, p.91, colour photo p.c1. Plant is spreading and dense with slow growth rate. Flowers early to mid-season. Dark green leaves are 4.5 cm long x 1.8 cm wide.
