ACS, The Camellia Journal, Mar. 2007, p.28 with colour photo; Reg. No. 2702. A chance seedling that first flowered 1998. Originated and propagated by Hulyn Smith, Valdaosta, Ga., USA. The 11.5 cm, dark red flower is formal double to rose form double with golden anthers. Flowers mid-season. Plant growth is upright, dense and vigorous.
