Florence Crowder

Florence Crowder (88) left us on December 24, just before Christmas. She was a wonderful person, full of enthusiasm, and passionate about ancient camellia cultivars. Since 2013, Florence has been an active member of the ICS Committee for Historic Camellia Conservation and organized the 2017 Conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, U.S.A. ICS Vice President for the Americas, she contributed to the creation of the Burden Gardens, Louisiana , USA, by donating the Florence and Charles Crowder Collection. I remember her as a smiling and fascinating lady. I had the honor of being her friend and I always liked her humor.
